Colca Trek 3 days

Day 1:

Start of the tour in Arequipa at 8am, we go to the Pampa Cañahuas national reserve, when we arrive to the east face of the Misti volcano, we do one hour walk to appreciate vicuñas and impressive geological formations, we return to transport and continue towards Colca, in The route will make different stops to appreciate llamas, alpacas, a variety of birds in a wetland and we will reach the highest point where we will see seven volcanoes, some very famous such as Mismi (the beginning of the Amazon river), Ampato (where the Juanita mummy was found) and the Sabancaya (volcano in a smoking and active state) from here we descend in transport to the Colca valley and canyon visiting the colonial towns of Yanque, Maca and Pinchollo, in this last town is located our beautiful Colca Trek Lodge, then we have lunch and rest for about an hour, at 4 pm we begin a short walk of 1.20 hours, to appreciate the window at the beginning of the Colca canyon, the translation of the name of the viewpoint is “Where the Condor Dance ”, with the sunset light in the mountains we finished the walk at our hotel, hot shower, dinner and rest.

Day 2:

Breakfast on the terrace at 7 am, as we are very close to the condor cross at 7:30 am we take a one-hour walk to appreciate different viewpoints of the canyon and look for condors flying, and we arrive at the crowded viewpoint of the condor where our transport and bicycles await for us, from this point there is a beautiful descent by bicycle (if you do not want to bike you can walk or follow us in our transport) for an hour appreciating viewpoints of the Canyon such as Tapay and the beautiful, we return in our transportation to our hotel, hot shower, lunch and rest of half an hour, then we go in our transport to the right side of the Colca canyon, passing through the beautiful towns of Lari and Madrigal we arrive at the very beginning of the canyon and then we hike for approximately 4 hours to reach the upper part of the Colca where we will have the most impressive view of the walls of the canyon from the incredible Incan fortress La Chimpa, nested in a spectacular abyss, we return to our transport and arrive at the hotel at 7pm, then we have dinner and sleep.

Day 3:

Through our panoramic windows from floor to roof you will appreciate from your bed an amazing sunrise over the walls of the Colca canyon, excellent breakfast, and we start a very nice NATURALISTIC hike (looking for the giant humming) for approximately two hours, crossing a cactus forest we appreciate a panoramic view of the walls of the Colca and a wetland with a variety of birds, plants and flowers, we return to the hotel in our transport, hot shower, check out, and we begin the return to Arequipa with the last stops for photographs, arriving in Arequipa at 5pm or if you required you can have a connection transfer in our private transportation from Colca to Puno by the Titicaca lake at 7pm to avoid returning unnecessarily to the city of Arequipa, if it is on your travel itinerary ( this extra Puno transfer is not included on the price).
