Arequipa – Chivay – Aquenta

7:00 am. Departure from Arequipa, pick up the pax from their hotel to go to Chivay (in 4 hours at 3600 meters) making stops in the reserve to see the Vicuñas and migratory birds and the Andes viewpoint then we will have lunch in a restaurant in Chivay, later we go in a 4wd along the route to Tuti passing through Ran Ran, the Aquenta pampas in 2 ½ hrs until reaching the end of transportation (5200 meters) where we will walk for 15 minutes to reach the Origin of the Amazon River (5182 meters) later we put together our camp and we will proceed to prepare dinner, we spend the night in tents.

07:00 am. Breakfast, later we will walk to the summit in 3 hours (possible use of crampons because the penitents) (5567 mt) with an impressive view of the Colca Canyon and the entire volcanic mountain range, photo break for 15 minutes and we begin the descent to the camp in 1:40 hrs and return to Chivay for lunch (optional thermal baths) and then return to Arequipa.
